PRESS RELEASES

LAS VEGAS (November 15, 2016) – PT’s Entertainment Group (PTEG), a division of Golden Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ:GDEN) and the largest traditional tavern operator in Nevada, announced its second annual holiday season safe driving campaign called “Ride Safe.”

The program is a partnership between PT’s and Uber to encourage guests not to drink and drive with the proceeds from the campaign benefiting the Friends of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation.

From Nov. 15 through Jan. 1, PT’s Entertainment Group will donate $1 for every ride taken on Uber from one of the company’s Southern Nevada taverns, including all PT’s, Sierra Gold, Sean Patrick’s and SG Bar. Uber has also agreed to donate $1 from every ride taken from the taverns.

In 2015, drugs and alcohol factored into nearly half of all fatal traffic crashes in Clark County, according to FARS, the Fatal Analysis Reporting System. During the past 10 years, 35 percent of all traffic fatalities in Clark County were caused by alcohol-related crashes, with more than 280 people killed.

“Providing a safe ride alternative to and from our taverns has always been a top priority, and our partnership with Uber has helped tremendously in that area,” said Ross Gdovin, vice president of marketing for Golden Entertainment. “The ride safe program was a tremendous success in our inaugural campaign last year, and our goal this year is to create an even greater awareness.  Golden Entertainment looks forward to building upon an ongoing partnership with the Friends of the LVMPD Foundation by helping to raise awareness related to all alcohol-related traffic incidents.”

“Last year’s Operation Ride Safe was a great success, and we appreciate the continued support of Golden Entertainment and Uber in their efforts to keep citizens and motorists safer during the holidays as well as their collective philanthropic contribution to the Friends of LVMPD Foundation, which will further serve to keep our community safer year round,” said Foundation Board President Michael McClary.

“At Uber it’s our mission to provide safe, affordable, convenient, and reliable transportation at the push of a button,” said Uber Nevada General Manager Eric Wimer. “We are excited to partner with PT’s Taverns this holiday season to encourage everyone to celebrate responsibly and opt for a safe and sober ride home, while also supporting the LVMPD Foundation, an organization that prioritizes our community’s safety.”
