LAS VEGAS (March 1, 2017) – Golden Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ:GDEN) is bringing its handcrafted beers – produced at the dynamic PT’s Brewing Company – to its wholly owned taverns in Nevada. The brewery opened a year ago and has produced more than a dozen different beer varieties – seven standard beers and several rotating seasonal beers.Five of its most popular PT’s brews are now at PT’s Pub, PT’s Gold, PT’s Ranch, Sierra Gold, Sean Patrick’s and SG Bar. Golden Entertainment currently operates 53 taverns in Nevada through its subsidiary PT’s Entertainment Group (PTEG). The company plans to open seven new taverns in the Las Vegas area by the end of the year.“Craft beer is a growing business in the Las Vegas Valley and our PT’s Brewing Company has quickly made its own mark as a compelling new entry into this market,” said Brent Edlund, director of tavern operations for PT’s Entertainment Group. “Our growing tavern operations offer the brewery the perfect platform to introduce our handcrafted beers to a new audience.”As part of the rollout, PTEG taverns will offer for purchase “Beer Flights,” in which guests can sample the five beers in 3.5-ounce glasses. In addition, PT’s Brewing Company Head Brewmaster Dave Otto will conduct beer-tasting events at the company’s taverns.Otto, an award-winning brewmaster with nearly two decades of beer industry experience, said “ambassadors” have been educated on the beers to help enhance the guest experience.Over the past year, PT’s Brewing Company has made available a limited supply of its handcrafted beer within the PTEG taverns. By early March, nearly every PTEG tavern will have five PT’s Brewing tap handles. The number of total PT’s tap handles could reach nearly 300 by the end of the year.“We have had a lot of success with our beers when they have competed side-by-side in our taverns against some of the more traditional, well-known beers,” Otto said. “We have faith that our beers will become strong players in the market.”Edlund said the goal is for PTEG taverns to gain recognition for the variety of craft beer served, as well as the company’s elevated dining choices.PT’s Brewing Company, located at 3101 North Tenaya Way, has the ability to produce 6,000 kegs annually. The five craft beers offered at the taverns are:• Horizon Light - A crisp, refreshing American-style light lager brewed with German hops. (ABV 4%) • Sean Patrick’s Irish Red - A smooth, lightly-hopped Irish-style red ale with hints of toasted malts and caramel. (ABV 5%) • Boulder Stout - A nitro poured Irish-style stout with a creamy mouth feel and notes of coffee and cocoa. (ABV 5.2%) • Hualapai IPA - An assertively hopped West Coast-style IPA brewed with just enough malt that allows the hops to be highlighted. (ABV 7%) • Golden Hefeweizen - Unfiltered German-style hefeweizen with classic banana and spice aromas and a crisp refreshing finish. (ABV 5%)“We will continue to produce new and exciting handcrafted beers, along with these excellent selections that have become popular choices at the brewery,” Otto said. The PT’s Brewing Company beer selections are also available during PTEG’s award-winning happy hour, which takes place daily from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and 12 a.m. to 2 a.m. During happy hour, all PTEG taverns offer 50 percent off drinks and pizzas and select appetizers for $5.About Golden Entertainment, Inc.
