“Ride Safe” proceeds to benefit the Friends of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation
LAS VEGAS (Nov 13, 2016) PT’s Entertainment Group (PTEG), a division of Golden Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ:GDEN) and the largest traditional tavern operator in Nevada, announced today a safe driving campaign called “Ride Safe,” just in time for the holiday season. The company is using their already existing partnership with Uber to encourage guests not to drink and drive.
From Nov. 15 through Jan. 1, PT’s Entertainment Group will be donating one dollar for every ride taken from one of their taverns, including all Southern Nevada PT’s, Sierra Gold and Sean Patrick’s locations. All the proceeds from the campaign will benefit the Friends of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation.
In 2014, drugs and alcohol factored into half of all fatal traffic crashes in Clark County, according to FARS, the Fatal Analysis Reporting System. During the past 10 years, 39 percent of all traffic fatalities were caused by alcohol-related crashes, with more than 750 people killed.
“The safety of our guests is paramount year-round, and our partnership with Uber has helped tremendously in that area,” said Ross Gdovin, vice president of marketing for Golden Entertainment. “As drinking is escalated during the holiday season, the goal of this campaign is to encourage our guests to take a safer mode of transportation on their way home. In addition, we’re looking forward to an ongoing partnership with the Friends of the LVMPD Foundation by helping to raise awareness related to alcohol-related traffic incidents.”
