LAS VEGAS (March 22, 2017) – The mobile application utilized by guests of PT’s Entertainment Group was recently awarded an honorable mention from a respected digital industry trade group in a national competition.
DMN Editorial recognized the PTEG mobile app during the publication’s national awards in New York City. The mobile app allows Golden Rewards and Beer & Bites guests to redeem special offers and access various benefits, such as free play gaming opportunities.
PTEG participated in the “Entertainment Campaign” and competed against several nationally recognized technology companies and brands. Samsung Electronics America won the category with a virtual reality submission that displayed at Comic Con and used in shooting scenes from the movie, “Suicide Squad.”
DMN commented that the PTEG mobile app experienced “strong performance metrics among guests who engaged with the in-app contesting, including increases in visits, slot revenue, and bar-top gaming volume.”
The PTEG mobile app launched in 2015 and was upgraded last fall, offering free play gaming opportunities, including video poker tournaments and football pick’em contests. The app also provides a link to cutting-edge Tunity technology, where guests can scan select television broadcasts within each tavern and stream audio from that television through their smart device.
The enhanced features were a first of its kind for the tavern industry and designed to increase guest engagement and brand loyalty. The idea behind the app’s features was to resemble a guest’s on-property experience while driving visitation and slot revenue.
“We were gratified the judges recognized the capabilities of the PTEG mobile app,” said Ross Gdovin, vice president of marketing for Golden Entertainment. “The honorable mention award is a tremendous recognition for the mobile app, given the magnitude of the companies it competed against.”
The mobile app has attract a strong mix of millennials and Generation X guests to PTEG taverns.
PTEG collaborated with VideoPoker.com to create the mobile app’s interactive gaming capabilities and content.
Mike Fields, executive vice president of Action Gaming and VideoPoker.com, said the award was impressive for PTEG and the mobile app.
“It was a real pleasure to work with such forward-thinking partners who proved that engaging with customers using real video poker games through their mobile devices could influence their loyalty, behavior and spending habits through increased patronage,” Fields said. “I thought it was awesome to see PTEG competing effectively with technology giants like Samsung.”
PTEG operates 54 taverns in Nevada through PT’s Pub, PT’s Gold, PT’s Ranch, PT’s Brewing Company, Sean Patrick’s, Sierra Gold and SG Bar. PTEG is a division of Golden Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ:GDEN), the largest traditional tavern operator in Nevada.
